I love how candy canes look on a Christmas tree but we don't put ours up until a week before Christmas due to family birthdays so I wanted to include candy canes in other Christmas décor.
Today I am sharing with you a step-by-step tutorial on how I made a cute mini candy cane wreath to hang on my wall using CTMH products.
I am also linking up with JAI#194- Just Add Santa!
Take 14 candy canes and arrange them in a circle to look like hearts.
Sellotape the bottoms together to loosely secure. Then go around the back of the candy canes with sellotape so that you can pick them up in one piece.
Cut a rosette in Ruby from the Cricut Artiste collection. You can vary the size depending on how big your candy canes are. Assemble the rosette and leave to dry.
Punch a 2" circle from the Sparkle and Shine Paper, then punch a 1 1/2 inch circle in white and layer. Stamp a Santa in Ruby from the Santa Claus stamp and fussy cut. Adhere to the white circle with Foam Tape.
Adhere your rosette to the front of the candy cane. I have found that lots of sellotape is the way to go!
Stick a large circle to the back to (mostly) cover up all of the sellotape.
To finish, cut a length of red ribbon and thread through the crooks of your top candy canes. Adhere with a small amount of sellotape.
The finished product can be hung on a wall, on a door or anywhere you like!
