Everything ABCs Blog Hop -Q

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter Q. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their Q element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Linda's blog ~ Scrappy Therapy

If you came from Melissa Hegwood- Scrappin' More Mom then you're on the right track!

Today I am sharing with you a simple Quilt inspired card using embossing folders. This is a great way to use up your scraps of cardstock or paper.

To start off, you need five different colours of card or paper. I chose five colours out of my scrap stash.

Cut or punch 2 1' squares per colour, then place them on a 3.75 x 5 inch piece of backing cardstock until you are happy with the combination. Stick down each square on the backing piece of cardstock.

Using a fine tip pen, fake stitch along each join.

Run this whole piece through your embossing machine, such as a Cuttlebug, using the Damask embossing folder. This creates a lovely quilt pattern.

Add this to a standard 5.5 x 4.25 card base and embellish as desired.

Your next stop on our Everything ABC'S blog Hop is Darlys Recker - Crafty Happy.

In case you get lost along the way…go to Scrappy Therapy for a complete list of participants!
