ABC Blog Hop- C

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter C. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their C element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Linda's blog ~ Scrappy Therapy.

If you came from Stephanie then you're on the right track!

Continuing with my background technique showcase, my C is Crinkled Cardstock!

Take a piece of cardstock slightly smaller than your card base.

Crush it up in your hand to form a loose ball.

When you unfold it, it should have a distressed look.

If you want to add some more distressing, lightly rub over the cardstock with your sanding kit.

Adhere your crinkled cardstock to the card base with Foam Tape.

Embellish your card as desired. Here I fussy cut a dump truck stamped image, and created a 1 out of bronze shimmer trim then adhered that.

This technique is great for masculine cards that need some oomph without being too frilly.

Your next stop on our Everything ABC'S blog Hop is Janna Gray of The Creative Princess.

In case you get lost along the way…go to Scrappy Therapy for a complete list of participants!

  2. Great technique! If you spray it with a mist of water first you will get even more crinkles! I also have inked it too in addition to the sanding! It is a fun way to change up plain cardstock! Might have to play with that again soon!

  3. Definitely - great, creative technique that's perfect for a manly card. I need to make one for my adult nephew in Michigan who has a big 4 wheel jeep and rides the sand dunes, and any muddy challenge he and his friends find! lol TFS
