Today I would like to share with you this Sympathy card, which features the September Stamp of the Month Family Is Forever, available exclusively throughout September for just $5 when you spend $75.
For my project, I opted to make a Sympathy card as these are the occasions I struggle with the most, but the images in this stamp really reminded me of family and being close to others.
The first thing I did was take my White Daisy card base and lay over some cloud shapes I had cut from an old embossed envelope that was sitting in my stash. You could use any cloud die cuts or patterns you have, or simply cut out your own cloud shapes. Place the clouds on your card using some temporary adhesive in a pattern that appeals to you.
I started to sponge ink over the card base, making sure that I went close to the edge of the clouds to get a clean edge.
Pulling off the cloud stencils, you have a lovely sky scene.
The next thing I did was to stamp the main tree image directly onto the cardstock base, over the cloud background. I also added some dimension to some of the leaves by highlighting the edges with a slightly darker marker.

I restanped the image on white cardstock with Blush ink, then fussy cut the centre heart images. A large sentiment was then all that was needed to complete this card.
