Happiness Lives Here Australasian Blog Hop

Hello and welcome aboard our Happiness Lives Here Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from Doreen then you are in the right place.

If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s January Featured collection, Happiness Lives Here

This bright and cheery paper packet works perfectly with the new Home Sweet Home stamp set and thin cuts.

I have good friends who have recently purchased their first home so I wanted to make them a card.

My eight year old son even came and helped me with the stamping- he did the black hearts around the house and glued everything down for me. He's such a sweetheart.

I love the Paprika colour in this collection, which I paired with Blue Belle. And the matching thin cuts made it so easy to create a cute stand out house and sentiment!

This collection can be yours for January and February 2021. Individual components can be ordered from your CTMH consultant. If you do not have a consultant please contact me or place an order here.

I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop, Scrappychicks.

January/February Catalog New Product Blog Hop

Welcome to our New Product Blog Hop!  We will be featuring all of the new goodies from the January/February supplemental catalogue.  If you have come here from Gina's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

This month we have 19 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using new products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I decided to showcase the beautiful new Happiness Lives Here Paper Packet and Sticker Sheet, as well as the sweetest stamp set ever, Home Sweet Home (I used the set with the thin cuts but you can purchase this stamp set without them).

I am about to move into my new home, which I have built with my partner, and so this paper packet and stamp set immediately jumped out at me! I wanted to create a layout to celebrate this big milestone event.

This two page layout has such a whimsical, homey feel and even matches the decor I will have!

Here's a closer look at the left hand side of the page. I used White Daisy Cardstock as the base, and added some of the cute Blue Belle stitched look paper, as well as a touch of the floral paper from the paper collection.

I added some of the heart stickers from the collection, as well as the new Happiness Lives Here Wood Shapes. The sentiment is from the Home Sweet Home stamp set- isn't it just such a lovely image? I love that the thin cuts make it so easy to get the banner look as well, and the words are separate so they are really easy to line up and stamp using our clear blocks.

I fell in love with this little house immediately, and then when my stamp set came I realized it was actually quite big! I stamped the house in Toffee ink onto sage cardstock, and once again used the thin cuts to get a precise cut around the stamped image. As you can see, I also added some journaling lines and another few stickers and wood shapes.

The right had side of this page is designed for three photos, and I love the look of the Kraft cardstock photo mats with this collection. Even though it is not a listed coordinating colour, I think Kraft goes with everything!

I added the wooden zip strip to the layout, as one of the floral border stickers, just to add some extra design elements to the pages. I then added a cute tag from the sticker sheet and added some of the Gold Glitter Gems for some subtle bling on the page.

Lastly, I added this sentiment and key from the Home Sweet Home stamp set as it was the perfect title for our new house build. I am so excited to get the key and start living with my partner, it only took three years!

Striped Borders Blog Hop

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!  This month there are 10 of us highlighting Striped Borders.

This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.

If you are coming from Darlys' Blog, you are on the right track!

Today I wanted to show you a fun background technique using the Happiness Lives Here cardmaking stamp set. I simply inked it up using Black ink and stamped each border on a diagonal across some White Daisy cardstock.

To make this card fun, I added very slim strips of different coloured cardstock behind the stamped piece, and then cut the Thank you sentiment form the Thin Cuts using a piece of Watercolour Paper that I had coloured using different watercolour paints. I then stamped the Thank you sentiment using Intense Black Ink over the coloured area.

I also added some Black Shimmer Brush splatters onto the card base for an extra touch, and placed the thank you sentiment onto the stamped background using 3D Foam Tape

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto Alyson's Blog where you will find some additional artwork highlighting this technique!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought of my variation and happy hopping!

January SOTM Blog Hop - Every Thank You

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  We will be featuring January's SOTM, which is Every Thank You, a set of 25 stamps.

If you have come here from Gina's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog

This month we have 18 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I have been having a good play with my Abandoned Coral and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide inks, and I thought they would make a fun background for the simple banner sentiment on this stamp set. I also added some clear embossed hearts from this stamp set onto my distress oxide background, which I also splattered with water, to create lots of interest and dimension to the background.

Here you can really see the embossed hearts and the banner, which was placed on Thin 3D Foam Tape for some extra lift. And how gorgeous is that splatter over the ink?

Lastly, I made a slight smudge on my card so I turned it into an embellishment with a sticker from the new Happiness Lives Here collection, and added some Diamond Stickles to the centre of the flower sticker for some added sparkle.

Now "Hop" on over to Becca's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the January SOTM is only available until the 31st January 2021!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount!

Out with the Old, In with the New

It's a new year, and the first new challenge over at Heart 2 Heart!

I decided to pair some old and some new products together for this challenge. I was really drawn to this gorgeous typewwriter sticker in the brand new Happiness Lives Here Sticker Sheet, ansd thought it would go well with the vintage look of the older Yesterday and Today paper.

The sentiment was stamped from the new January SOTM, Every Thank You, and I finally paired it together with some old Gold Glitter Gems and Gold Shimmer Trim from my stash.

If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s January Stamp of the Month, Every Thank You.

There are so many amazing mix-and-match sentiments on this set- look at all of those gorgeous fonts! This is a set of 25, yes 25 different stamps so it is amazing value.

I decided to keep my card sweet and simple to let the sentiment shine. I used some of the beautiful new Happiness Lives Here Paper Packet and Sticker Sheet, paired with Peach Cardstock. I stamped the main sentiment in Paprika Ink, and added a little heart to the end of the sentiment.

I added a heart zip strip, a flower and leaves from the sticker sheet, and the finishing touch was the border under the sentiment using Peach ink, which also comes in the stamp set.

This exclusive sentiment stamp set is only available during January- our first SOTM for the year! It can be yours for just $10 with a qualifying order of $88, or for free if you are a VIP!
