ABC Blog Hop- B

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter B. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their B element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Linda's blog ~ Scrappy Therapy (link: found on signup doc)

If you came from Jenny Gilbert then you're on the right track!

In keeping with my ABCs of techniques, I tried to try a cheat's version of the patchwork style Bargello Technique. This is a great way to use up strips of patterned paper left in your stash, and creates a bold background that can be bold, subtle or neutral depending on which colours and patterns you choose.

To start, cut strips of patterned paper to 6 x 3/4. These can coordinate or clash, depending on what finished look you want to achieve. Place each strip on a piece of thin paper or cardstock.

Cut this piece into strips. I did 1/2 inch strips but if you want wider pieces you can make them larger.

Stagger the strips to create the design you want- this is the fun part!

Adhere the strips in the desired pattern to a piece of cardstock and trim off any excess at the top and bottom.

Use as a background on your card!

Your next stop on our Everything ABC'S blog Hop is Diana Saunders ~ Farmer Di Stamps.
