S2008 Floral Celebration Australasian SOTM Blog Hop

Hello and welcome aboard our August Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from Scrappy Chicks then you are in the right place.

If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s August Stamp of the Month, Floral Celebration.

I was recently taking part in a craft roulette challenge that required floral images and a Z fold card- so I grabbed out the August SOTM and started creating!

I used New England Ivy cardstock and did some tone on tone stamping with the long leaf border, and then added a large floral image stamped in Sangria and fussy cut. The wood grain background is actually a Timber PML card and I didn't like the circular sentiment on it, so i covered it with the flower!

The card then folds out to reveal another panel- I also stamped this one in the same way as the outside panel. I felt that the woodgrain needed something else so I added a torn strip of Sangria cardstock down the side for a rustic look.

The title is also from the SOTM and I stamped this in Sangria ink. Can you also see the subtle floral pattern behind the sentiment? I used another floral image and stamped the flowers in third generation New England Ivy  to take away some of the starkness of the white.

This exclusive stamp set is only available during August. If you do not have a consultant please contact me or place an order here.

I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop, Kimmy Adds Sparkle.
