Nevermore Mother card

My mum has a birthday coming up soon, and of course I needed to make a card! I used the colour prompts from this week's Color Dare as inspiration.

I also got guidance from the BPC Cards for Spring class I have just finished, which inspired the dry embossing, butterflies and sketch.

Here is my completed card.

I love that the butterflies look like monarchs with the patterned paper from Nevermore underneath, and the green doily brings it all together.

I hope my mum likes her card!

CTMH supplies used:

Seven Days with Sangria- Day 4

Welcome to the fourth post in my Seven Days with Sangria feature posts! Each day for seven days I will be sharing a project created with the Sangria Paper Packet, Complements, Assortment or WOTG, or a mixture of these, as well as other wonderful CTMH Products.

I am also joining in today with the Holiday Expressions Blog Hop! We will be featuring new products from the Holiday Expressions catalogue, available only until the 31st December.

If you have come here from Tammy's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

This month we have 30 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I have created a simple Christmas card combining Sangria Complements and the Sangria paper packet with the Nevermore Paper Packet and Merry, Merry stamp set featured in the Holiday Expressions catalogue.

I stamped the wreath in our new Fern ink and layered some of the Sangria complements over the top, and finished off the card with Poppy Twine. I love the Sangria paper paired with the Nevermore paper, and the colours are unexpected for Christmas but still work well together.

Now "Hop" on over to Jacquelin's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas!

Loads of Fun!

I can't believe it is nearly the end of September- where is the year going!

I have so many family birthdays coming up, and I need a lot of little boy cards. I decided to play with Nevermore and find some non-Halloween uses for this paper packet, as we do not really celebrate Halloween in new Zealand I want to showcase this paper packet for other themes. With the help of the sketch this week at Atlantic Hearts, I set about creating a birthday card!

I used the new Loads of Fun stamp set- it is adorable for any little boy projects!

The Nevermore zip strip was the perfect thin panel as it reminded me of a racing checkered flag, and the road cone was stamped and fussy cut.

We would love to see your sketch inspired creation this week- come join us!

Nevermore Paper Feature- Robot Family Fun!

Hello and welcome aboard our Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from Maz' Blog then you are in the right place.

If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s new Nevermore Paper Packet, featured in the new Seasonal Expressions catalogue and only available until the 31st December.

I was inspired by some of the CTMH Head Office artwork on page 8 of the SE catalogue for this paper packet.

I used the grey gear and cog print paper as a background for a robot themed page, and replaced the Halloween monsters with robots!

The cogs were watercoloured and then fussy cut. I also used one of the Sangria Complements pieces, the little camera, and added an arrow and date sticker from the Fundamentals Stickers Enchantment Pack and the Real Life sentiment from our new Instalife This Happened Roller Stamp.

I watercoloured the robots and fussy cut them- I am still getting the hang of watercolours as I was never an artistic student, but it is fun to play with them and experiment!

I then used a robot journal card from the Childhood PML Scrapbook Program, which is full of adorable childhood themed artwork and quotes.

Some more Sangria Complements and Fundamentals Stickers were added here, and I also added a black bling gem to the centre of the star.

I had so much fun creating this robot layout and using our new products! Remember, the Nevermore Paper Packet is only available until the 31st December.

I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop, Patricia Manhire's Creative Corner.
