Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We will be featuring February's SOTM, which is A Happy Hello, a set of 15 stamps.
If you have come here from Lucy's blog you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around. If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.
This month we have 68 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!
I created a layout inspired by my wonderful sister Juliet, who blogs about her wonderful white space scrapbooking pages. Her cat layout really spoke to me, and so I scraplifted it to create my own take on it using the February Stamp of the Month.
These stamps make great embellishments when punched out or fussy cut- perfect for creating clusters to draw your eye in.
Layering the stamped clusters also allows you to bring in different colours to a layout without it being too overwhelming. I love the peek of the embossed cardstock too, as it adds another dimension as well. I added some Flamingo Dots as an extra element.
I used one of the sentiments to create my title- I simply masked off "hello" from "A Happy hello" and substituted the word "birthday" using a retired stamp set in a similar font.
Here is the finished layout- lots of white space, embellishment clusters and layers. I think my sister would be proud!
Look at all that layering- so much fun to do with the February Stamp of the Month.
