Party Time Scrapbook Layout

This week at Heart 2 Heart, the theme is Party Time!

This is great timing, because my son has his birthday right before Christmas and so sometimes it is hard to focus on that when everything seems to be about Santa and shopping.

I created a fun layout for his birthday photos using the Party Time Paper Packet and Sticker Sheet paired with the Party Time Coordinating Cardstock

I wanted to showcase some of the fun papers, and the streamer background absolutely says Birthday for me! I love the present paper too, so I added some fun squares of this paper as a feature.

I created the title using the Wishing You Everything Stamp and Thin Cuts, using Lagoon and Sapphire ink, and then added a cluster of stamps and sticker beside the journal box.

I can't wait for my son's birthday in a couple of weeks to get some photos on this layout- it will be great to have yet another 2020 layout finished!

If you have any Party Time themed projects, we would love for you to share them with us at Heart 2 Heart challenges.

This month we have myself and 12 other Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's featured stamp and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I have been wanting to use this beautiful floral paper from the Mix In Paper Packet, and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to pair it with this stamp set!.  I also used some of my leftover Serenity scraps, a zip strip from the Mix In and I created my own distress oxide panel for the layout as well using Abandoned Coral and Picked Raspberry distress oxide inks, then flicking it with water and blue watercolour paint.

I coloured another piece of White Daisy Cardstock with the distress inks and then stamped the flowers from the stamp set over this using Intense Black Ink. I then fussy cut and layered all of the flowers, and added some extra fussy cut flowers from Sapphire Cardstock as well as stamping some of the leaf stamps directly onto the paper. I also added some Gold Glitter Gems because who doesn't love bling?

See all the different lovely details in the distress oxide panel? I love spritzing these with water to get that dreamy bokeh look.

I clustered some of the flowers using 3D foam tape to add some dimension, and I also stamped the sentiment from the Operation Smile stamp set directly onto the paper using Black ink as it fitted so perfectly in the gap above the photo.

Now "Hop" on over to Katy's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas!

Sunny Days in Fiji

It's the middle of winter right now here in New Zealand, but it hasn't stopped me scrapbooking my Fiji holiday photos!

The new Summer Vibes collection was perfect for these photos of our seafood restaurant date night on our first evening in Fiji. I instantly loved the leaf print in this collection and wanted it to feature on my pages, and I added some extra tropical touches.

Here's the full two page layout with that gorgeous paper and some of the matching stickers.

A close up of the left page- here you can see my coloured flower that I stamped in both Lemon and Tangerine inks using the rock and roll technique, as well as the fun Chill sticker and a cute palm tree acrylic shape from the Summer Vibes collection.

The right hand page also features one of the PML cards from the Summer Vibes collection. Look at how beautiful that sunset was, and we both got given flowers to wear in our hair during the meal so I wanted to incorporate some floral elements to the page.

I absolutely loved my time in Fiji and I have been scrapping up a storm with the Summer Vibes collection, and I will be sharing some more Fiji photos over the next two weeks.

If you have some Sunny Days themed projects you've created recently, please share them with us over at Heart 2 Heart challenges this month!

Australasian Hawthorn Blog Hop

Hello and welcome aboard our Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from Nell's Blog then you are in the right place.

If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s October Featured collection, Hawthorn.

This is a great autumnal and masculine range, and I love the wooden woodsy feel to the collection.

I used this paper collection as well as coordinating elements to create a layout that will feature photos of a woodland fairy door walk I went on with my two boys and my niece a few weeks ago.

The hexagon die cut from the Workshop your Way matches so well with the cute pattern of the paper, and I also did some tone on tone stamping of the leaves from the matching stamp set. The sentiment was also stamped using the Hawthorn Scrapbooking stamp set and cut out with the matching die cut.

I used some of the Picture My Life cards to use as backgrounds, and I stamped the leaves by using the scrapbooking stamp set and inking up the leaves first in Toffee, then Saffron then edging with Paprika using the rock and roll technique. The sentiment is from the Hawthorn Complements.

The journal box was also a Picture My Life Card, and the pretty leaf die cut was from the full kit. It was a bit fiddly to push out all of the intricate holes but I love the finished look with all of the different papers and colours behind the leaves.

This  collection can be yours until the end of October.  Individual components can be ordered from your CTMH consultant.

I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop, Scrappychicks.

So Much Happy Australasian CTMH Blog Hop

Hello and welcome aboard our March Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from Kara then you are in the right place.

If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s March Featured Paper Packet, So Much Happy.

I fell in love with the Workshops Your Way So Much Happy Scrapbooking Kit the moment I saw it- I knew it would be perfect for my recent travel and birthday photos!

Here's the travel themed layout, featuring lots of different patterns and colours.

I love the use of all the patterns and zip strips, as well as puffies (did I mention I love puffies!) and the ombre EXPLORE title.

I also love the matching PML cards and the cute little sentence stickers that add a little something extra to the layout.

The birthday photos layout also caught my eye, as I wanted to document my son's 6th birthday party and these blues matched wonderfully with the photos.

Look at this glorious combination of chipboard, mini title stickers and puffies!

I also made good use of the cut apart sheet featuring the rainbow ampersand, and the sticker sheet also comes with mini alphas for creating your own titles.

This Paper Packet definitely gives me So Much Happy!

I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop, Maz's Blog.

Sweet Memories

Have I told you all how excited I am about the new Heart Happy Paper Packet? It defenitely makes my heart happy!

I really loved the new Sketches in Thyme challenge and so I decided to give it a go using this paper packet.

And here's what I created!

I used the LOVE cut out sheet for my bold title, and then added the little sweet memories pennant by masking and stamping two stamp sets to combine the words.

The stamped sentiment inspired me to use the sweet cut outs, and I also used the heart paper as I thought it went really well with our Snapchat filter photo on the right!

Lastly, I added a hexagon overlay across the back of the photos rather than singular hexagons, as I just love this Cricut cut.

I am such a big fan of these colours together- are you?

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will come back to see some other projects I have made using this paper packet!

Grateful Heart CTMH Australasian Blog Hop

Hello and welcome aboard our October Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop. If you have arrived here from Vandra then you are in the right place.

If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s October featured Paper Packet, Grateful Heart

product image.

I love the deep, rich jewel tones of this paper packet and I wanted to create a layout for some family photos coming up that I know will be special.

I used the rich Pomegranate tones for the layout, accenting with Sapphire and Saffron as I loved the butterfly zip strip and wanted to match those colours.

Can you see the butterfly accents? I absolutely loved this PML card that came in the paper packet and had to include it in my layout. I backed it with Saffron cardstock to make it pop.

I also embellished with some of the Grateful Heart Complements. Isn't this little owl adorable? I also layered the embellishment with the matching Cork Shapes to add a little extra pop to the layout.

CTMH Australasian Little Dreamer Blog Hop

Hello and welcome aboard our Little Dreamer Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from Tanya then you are in the right place.

If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s May  Featured collection, Little Dreamer.

Little Dreamer isn't just for girls- I created this Easter layout featuring my two boys and added strips of the Little Dreamer paper packet down the side of the page. I also used the paper to mat my main 6x4 photo.

To add more interest I added the circle stamp around the layout and this enforced the circular theme. This same stamp had the journal lines and the date and 'captured moment' sentiment- very versatile! I cut two Easter eggs from the Cricut in Little Dreamer colours and then added a grass border from the Jack Cardmaking stamp set.

I also cut the Easter title from my Cricut- I didn't think it stood out enough using just the Lemon title so I shadowed it by cutting the same title slightly bigger in Lagoon cardstock.

This Workshop Your Way collection can be yours for just $46NZD.  Individual components can be ordered from your CTMH consultant.

If you do not have a consultant please contact me or place an order here.

I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop, Maz Woods.

Everyday Life

I love documenting the big events in my life, but it's nice to remember some of the everyday moments too.

One of the things I always enjoy is taking my two boys out for coffee dates when I have some one-on-one time with them.

I created this layout to document the coffee (and fluffy) dates using the Enchantment Fundamentals.

This adorable bear and his coffee cup were the perfect addition to my layout- as well as the sentiment. I added a few red enamel hearts

The This & That stamp set is great for adding a title to everyday moments, so I added one of the stamp sentiments to the top of the journal box as time with my boys makes me happy.

Dreaming of Adventure

My boys and I love having adventures, so the Dreamin' Big Paper Packet immediately caught my eye from the new Seasonal Expressions.

I used 3 4x5.5 photos and created a grid type layout to showcase us in nature. The greens and oranges really help to make the grey title pop, which I cut from one of the Dreamin' Big PML cards.

I added an arrow from the matching Dreamin' Big Complements, as well as a small love heart sticker and the today tab.

The dragonfly was stamped in Juniper ink and then rolled in Sunset to create the two toned image. I love the matching thin cuts as it made cutting the dragonfly out so much easier!

I backed the grid layout onto Sunset cardstock to anchor all the pieces together, and finished off with a journal tag from a retired SOTM.

If you love having adventures, Dreamin' Big is such a perfect paper pack for documenting nature!

Hello Twins!

I am usually not a huge fan of pink and flowers, but the new Hello lovely range from CTMH has won me over.

I loved a recent photo of me and my sister so much that I had to scrapbook the story behind it, and the Hello Lovely paper packet worked well with the colours in the photo.

I finally got to use some of the Hello Lovely floral complements, and picked out the Fern and Sorbet tones to match. The zip strips from this paper packet are beautiful too!

Of course, I had to use the new twin themed stamp set, Twins Rule, to stamp these cute sayings onto the layout.

I used one of the larger alpha stamps to create the title, and then added another sentiment from the Twins Rule stamp set underneath.

The soft greens and pinks and the floral complements make this layout so girly- perfect for me and my sister! If you have a project with Hello Lovely, you can link it up at this week's Hello Lovely challenge over at Heart 2 Heart.

Uptown Fundamentals

Have you seen the gorgeous new Uptown Fundamentals Paper Packet?

Uptown is the theme of this week's challenge at Heart 2 Heart, so of course I had to use this paper packet! The cross design was a perfect pairing to some photos of a musical I was recently in.

This double page layout was created using a cutting guide from one of the CTMH Make If From The Heart books. I paired the black cross paper with Raspberry and Blossom Cardstock to match the program. I also added some touches of gold using the Gold Fundamental Assortment and the PML Gold Watercolour Cards. I also added some Pink Enamel Gems down the bottom on top of the script patterned paper, which I thought also fitted perfectly with the photos.

The journal box and date were stamped using the Capture This stamp set, and I created the title from the This & That stamp set.

I added a Flip Flap Memory Protector to include the program on the layout for future reference, so that I can show my boys my name in it and also display the photos of the back of the program.

I love this paper packet for pairing with any other colour, and it works for a variety of themes. Black and white worked so well with these nun photos, but it would also work for wedding, baby or birthday photos.
