Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s January  Featured collection, Are We There Yet?

I am currently on holiday as we speak, and so I have been prepping some scrapbook pages in advance for my photos, so that I am ready to go when I get home! This collection is perfect for all kinds of travel photos.

Here is my layout all ready for some photos- I backed some White Daisy cardstock with Sapphire card after I had splattered it with some of the Sapphire Shimmer Brush, and then started layering and adding dimension from there.

I used a lot of scraps to layer this together, with a mixture of patterned paper, coordinating cardstock and zip strips. I also added some thin cut tags to add my journalling later.

I really like doing little embellishment clusters in the corners, so here I used some of the stickers and zip strips from the collection.

I used the globe sticker and popped it up on some 3D Foam Tape for dimension, to provide an anchoring point for the photos.

I really love the combination of bold and subtle patterns within this paper packet, and the handy stickers add some great interest. The colours really pop against the white, and the splatter of shimmer helps to combat the stark white.

I wanted to create a bright and happy layout for my son's birthday party photos using some of the fun new product. Here's a look at the two page layout- let's have a closer look at all the new products used on these scrapbook pages.

On the left hand side of the page, I started off by using the Noteworthy Paper Packet as the main paper. The music notes went perfectly with the music themed birthday party!

I used the new colour Capri Cardstock for a photo mat and accent strip- how beautiful is this colour? Then I added some stickers from the new Smarty Pants Sticker Sheet and used the Smarty Pants Zip Strip for the rainbow accent.

I also used the new Smarty Pants Picture My Life Cards to mat the journal circle I created using the Smarty Pants Stamp Set and Thin Cuts.

On the right hand side of the layout, I kept with the same layout and matted my photos in Lemonade Cardstock as well as using more of the musical note paper.

The title was stamped using the awesome new Celebration Alphabet stamp set- you can stamp the outline and the inside separately and create any colour combo you want! I used Nectarine, Lemonade, Candy Apple, Avocado and Sapphire inks to create this. The little "happy" above the stamped alphabet comes from the new Love Story Scrapbooking stamp set.

The last new product I used on this layout was the gorgeous Capri Glitter Paper- it doesn't look this dark in real life and it added a fun,. party themed touch to the layout.

Australasian SOTM Blog Hop- Grateful For This Life

Hello and welcome aboard our Stamp of the Month Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from Passionate About Pages then you are in the right place.

If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s September Stamp of the Month, Grateful For This Life.

I love all the mix and match sentiments, and I wanted to show you how to use these on a scrapbook page.

I recently performed in a production of West Side Story, and so I wanted to create a bright layout of all the fun backstage photos we took. I used Bluebird Cardstock as the base, and then added strips of the new colour Mulberry Cardstock and also some paper from the new Noteworthy Paper Packet.

On the left hand side, I stamped the main title from the Stamp of the Month using Black Ink and added some extra sentiments from the stamp set.

I love how you can truly customise the titles with this stamp set! I also added some music notes using the Happy Birthday Song stamp set since West Side Story is a musical.

I used some of the smaller sentiments around the pages, as the photos do tell such a story about some wonderful memories I will have of the show.

The right hand side is more of the beautiful Bluebird and Mulberry combination, and I added in a pop of Lemonade Cardstock too. I also added some sharks to these pages using the Jawsome Birthday stamp set, as we were the Sharks gang.

The star sentiment is from the new Smarty Pants Stamp Set and Thin Cuts, which I thought paired perfectly with this layout and also the pop of yellow on my niece's dress. I also added some more music notes!

This journal box was created on White Daisy Cardstock using the new Love Story Scrapbooking Stamp Set and Thin Cuts and I stamped the lines using our new colour of the year, Wild Berry Ink. The Sharks title also came with the Jawsome Birthday stamp set, and so I used that as a subtitle.

Back to the Stamp of the Month- I was truly grateful to spend time on stage with my other half and so the time together sentiment was perfect for underneath this photo of us- and how amazingly does my dress match the cardstock colours!

I really love how this double page layout turned out, and I was able to put a lot of photos on this page!

Daisy Meadows Australasian Blog Hop

Hello and welcome aboard our Daisy Meadows Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from Doris then you are in the right place.

If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s March Featured collection, Daisy Meadows.

I know this screams Easter- but I wanted to show you an adorable page of my new baby niece with her bunny rabbit that we got her.

Here's the cute layout I created using the bunny paper from this paper packet, paired with Glacier cardstock and the sticker sheet as well as Picture My Life cards.

I popped the bunny sticker on some foam tape so that it looked like he was peeking out over the photo, and added some hearts and journal strips nearby.

The "some Bunny loves you " sentiment was absolutely perfect for this layout, and then I added another PML card for the photo mat as well as a gorgeous floral sticker from the collection.

Here's what the layout will look like once I have the photo of my new niece printed- this is her toy bunny rabbit that my boys and I gave her when she was born. Isn't she just the cutest?

I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop, Scrappychicks.

Australasian Serenity Blog Hop

Welcome to our Australasian Serenity Blog Hop!  We will be featuring the beautiful December collection, Serenity.  If you have come here from Doris's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.

I absolutely adore this collection, with the combination of Blue Belle, Sapphire, Toffee and French Vanilla. I knew I just had to create a layout!

Luckily, I have an upcoming wedding using the exact shades of blue (from what I can tell from the invitation!) and so I took this opportunity to pre-create a layout for the upcoming day. Does anyone else do this?

I added some Blue Belle splatters onto White Daisy Cardstock for my background, and added some torn stripes of the beautiful Serenity paper as the background. I added some of the tabs left over from the Serenity card kit, and also added some Blue Belle Pearls and some fussy cut flowers form the December Stamp of the Month.

I stamped the title and the flowers from the Serenity Cardmaking Kit, and also added some more Blue Belle Pearls. I added a little bit of colouring using thew watercolour paints, but kept the colour scheme pretty neutral.

These are My People Blog Hop

Welcome to our Blog Hop!  We will be featuring the These Are My People collection.  If you have come here from Krista's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

This month we have 19 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's collection and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I wanted to show how I created more masculine layouts using this kit and elements. I did the exact same cutting guide measurements and layouts, but changed up the sentiments and embellishments as well as the stamping to get a slightly different look.

Here's the original design for the single page layout.

I wanted to showcase some photos of my boys looking swish after their haircuts, so I left out the flowers, changed up the sentiment a bit and stamped their names onto the ampersand sticker using a small alpha stamp set.

I used the watercolour paints to splatter the background, and dovetailed some strips to put behind the sticker instead of using a flower.

Instead of flowers here, I added a heart from the sticker sheet and overlaid it with some of the acrylic hearts from the kit.

Here is the two page spread original layout.

As you can see, I kept the fabulous green plaid triangles and still kept some of the floral elements and the zip strip. My main change was to use more of the stickers and I also used a green splatter instead of pink, and added a PML card from the Seas The Day collection for the journalling.

The colour behind the title is actually a stamp from the set, which makes an awesome background!

Since this layout was of my partner's birthday, I used a sentiment from the Birthday Banner stamp set.
