ABC Blog Hop- P
Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!
For this hop we will be featuring the letter P. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their P element will be featured in their post.
If you came from Linda then you're on the right track!
I decided to do some Paper Pleating on my card, to create a fun fence focal point.
I started off by scoring a 1.5x11" piece of cardstock at alternating points, starting at the 1" mark, then at the 1 1/2" mark, then at 2 1/2", then at 3", alternating between 1/2" and 1" until I got to the end of the cardstock.
I then folded the cardstock on my score marks, always going forwards from the fold to create a pleat. Fold up, then down, then back up and continue this pattern. Stick down each panel with strong adhesive.
You can then add your pleat to your project- here I am creating an autumnal card using a Cricut cut tree trunk and stamped details.
Here is my finished card, complete with leaves, clouds and a sentiment.

That is a fun technique I haven't used in a while! I love the way you used it and the leaves make the card!
ReplyDeleteI really like the paper pleating look, thanks for sharing. I will have to give this a try.
