At first glance I wrote of the Oh What Fun Paper Packet as being too pink and girly for me- but then I decided to challenge myself and create a layout for my boys.
Every year we bake cookies and give them to family and friends. I have created this layout in advance for our photos, using the sketch challenge from Heart 2 Heart as inspiration.
I used the blue and green papers and accented with Candy Apple Cricut cuts and stamping- even though this is not one of the featured colours in the paper it still made my layout feel more Christmassy.
The Cricut cuts are both from the new Season of Joy cartridge, which I am loving for all my Christmas titles and embellishments. Isn't the gingerbread man cute? I surrounded him with stamped hearts to fill in the white space but otherwise did minimal stamping.
I used a family stamp set to stamp the quote onto one of the PML cards. Now I have a perfect layout for when we bake cookies at Christmas!
Products used:
Cardstock: Candy Apple, Clover, Glacier, White Daisy
Embellishments: Season of Joy Cricut cartridge
Ink: Candy Apple, Clover
Paper: Oh What Fun
Stamp set: Quotable Words
Nice that you already have your beautiful layout for your cookie extravaganza this Christmas. Like how you did the Merry Christmas to You in the corner. My table is filled many times over with Christmas cookies given away to neighbors, friends and family. Thanks for sharing with us at Heart2Heart.
ReplyDeleteFun interpretation of the sketch! I've been wanting to do a cookie exchange but never have. I'll need to plan on one sometime soon.

Wonderful layout! Great job mixing it up for boys because this paper pack is very pink and girly. I love what you have done with it! Thanks for playing along with Heart 2 Heart Challenges (H2H).
