Let it Shimmer

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!  This month there are 15 of us highlighting Shimmer Brushes.

This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.

If you are coming from Michelle's Blog, you are on the right track!

I wanted to show that shimmer brushes can be used for large areas as well as to bring sparkle to smaller details.

For this card, I created the tag by heat embossing the image with clear embossing powder, and then I sponged Toffee and Bluebird ink over it. I then wiped off the excess ink with a paper towel and lightly brushed the Clear Shimmer Brush over the entire tag. I then added a bow and background stamped the Glacier piece in Glacier ink with a flower from the same stamp set.

Here you can see the gorgeous shimmer that the clear brush gives to an inked image- this brings some sparkle to the card without it being too over the top.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please continue onto Brenda's Blog where you will find some additional artwork highlighting this technique!  Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought of my variation and happy hopping!
