I decided to create a quick slimline card using the new slimline card bases and the fun Diagonal Stripe Slimline Thin Cuts. The Blossom paper became a really fun background and I was able to pull out the colours for the rest of my card. 

The trees come from the new Home Sweet Home stamp set and thin cuts and I added the branch stamp detail two to of the trees, keeping the top one plain and popping it up on some foam tape.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s January special. Bring Back My Pack- Urban.

This awesome paper packet is back for this month only, and comes with an updated sticker sheet, a stamp set and everything you need to create some beautiful projects, or you can purchase the components separately.

I wanted to showcase a layout I created for my cat Chester, who is such a character! The yellow and blue tones of the Urban paper packet paired so well with this photo of Chester warming himself on the couch by the fire.



I used the Spruced Up Scrapbooking stamp set for my title, and added the cat from the previous special stamp set. The time for a nap mini sentiment also made it onto this page, for obvious reasons! I added some Bitty Sparkles to the crackle paper strips to make it look like eyelets.



I used some of the Urban stickers as well as the Gold Arrow Clips on the journalling box, and added a strip of the corrugated look patterned paper as I thought it needed a bit of grey to tie in with the grey in the photo and the grey cat stamp.

Most of my ideas for this paper packet focus on masculine themes, but I also wanted to showcase something a bit more cutesy using this paper packet.

One of my friends has been having a rough time with her 18 month old son, so I wanted to create a card that would appeal to both of them.

I used the woodgrain paper for the base paper of the card, and accented it with some banner scraps and Peacock Cardstock. The stamp set I used is called Woodland Greetings, which I thought paired perfectly with the woodgrain. I stamped the bear in Espresso Ink and the wreath in the same colour but using the second generation colour and then added the sentiment in peacock ink as well as some of the stand alone leaves.



Here's a close up of the bear's nose as I used the clear shimmer brush on it just for a little extra something and a bit of bling.
