Welcome to our February technique blog hop-colouring!
If you have arrived here from Tamara you are in the right place, and you can start or continue hopping from here!
I wanted to show a really fun watercolour technique I recently came across where the background looks watermarked.
You simply run different colours over watercolour paper, and let it dry. Then you then stamp a solid image in clear Versamark ink and heat emboss with clear powder. Lastly, you run clean water over the panel to remove the excess water from the stamped image and it leaves you with a dreamy type of image in the background of your watercolours.
Here is a panel I created using the watercolour paints and a tree stamp from the Spruced Up scrapbooking stamp set.
You can see how the trees meld into part of the background- this looks awesome with any type of solid stamp such as snowflakes, balloons etc depending on which background theme you want.
Now hop on over to Kim to see what she has created!
Oh this is a fun technique, I will have to try this out. Your card looks great.
