Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s June Featured Collection, True Love.

Now most people would look at this collection and think wedding themed layouts, but I was drawn to the colours in this paper packet, which happen to match the dress I wore for Mother's Day. And of course, I love my two boys as well, so this scrapbook page was created!



I used a few of the cut out pieces to create embellishments for my layout, and stamped the family sentiment from the Our Family stamp set. The lace border at the top is also part of the cut apart sheet, and I anchored it to the page with a Sapphire blue zip strip.

My brother recently had his 40th birthday, so this was a great stamp set to pair with the scrapbook layout.

I enjoyed using the True Love Paper Packet combined with more feminine accents such as the lace thin cuts, and then layering them with these cute stars from the Into The Wild Scrapbooking stamp set.

The Stamp of the Month was used in this layout to create the title, which I stamped in Sapphire ink in a Stitched Circle Thin Cut using Mint cardstock. I popped the sentiment up on some 3D foam tape for added dimension.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s June Stamp of the Month, It's Your Day To Sparkle.

I loved the gorgeous cake feature stamp, and had to showcase it on a card!

I kept the card colours quite muted, only using Eggplant and Ballerina. I embossed the background of the card using the new Flower Garden embossing folder.



The sentiment was stamped in White Daisy Ink and I kept the stamping of the cake simple, opting to stamp onto Ballerina Cardstock with Eggplant Ink and keeping it plain apart from the roses, which I coloured in using the Sugarplum Shimmer Brush.

for the Bride and Groom

I've attended a few weddings already this year, and have another couple lined up for later on in this year. That was reason enough to replenish my stash of wedding and engagement cards, and I was inspired by the new True Love collection and this week's sketch at Atlantic Hearts.

I decided to use the soft Sage paper paired with touches of Sapphire and Eggplant.



I stamped some rows of hearts using Sage ink, then stamped the sentiment over top. I then fussy cut some flowers that I stamped from the same set and added some flourishes behind the edge flowers in second generation Eggplant ink.

I finished off the card with some simple pearls in the centre of the Sapphire flowers.

I really like the colour combination, and the sketch made it easy to get inspired!

Using those Zip Strips!

I love the Zip Strips on the top of my CTMH papers, one side is a pretty pattern and the othr side lists all of the colours within the collection.

The patterns and thinness of the Zip Strips mean that they can be used for all sorts of decorative purposes for borders, journal strips, frames and embellishment accents.

This card was created using the Zip Strips as the main feature. I finished it off with a simple strip of gold foil tape, a stamped sentiment and a coloured and fussy cut flower.



This card could be used for a variety of occasions- I kept it rather neutral so that I can have a congratulations card on hand whenever I need it.

Minty Fresh

This week the theme for Heart 2 Heart challenges is Minty Fresh.

Mint is one of the colours featured in the new True Love collection, and so I have created this sweet wedding themed card using a Mint background, a mint backed sentiment, and the fussy cut mint wine glasses from the Cut Apart sheet.



Finished off with a strip of coordinating paper and some Pearls, this was a quick and easy card perfect for an upcoming wedding celebration but could also be used for a number of other occasions!
