Glitz and Glitter

This week at H2H we are all about glitz and glitter!

I had been meaning to scrapbook my friend's 40th birthday, where I wore a glittery pink dress, and the new Mulberry Glitter Paper matched perfectly! Here's the full layout paired with some of the old You Are Enough papers, You Are Enough PML Cards and the Layered Butterflies Thin Cuts.

I cut some pennants using the Mulberry Glitter Paper as well as the You Are Enough Cardstock, and then added a PML card for the title. The butterflies are cut from Mulberry Glitter Paper and Ballerina Cardstock

I also stamped this balloon garland from the Party Girl stamp set in Sangria Ink and paper pieced the circles to match the layout.

I also added some Butterfly Sequins, and added some little splotches in Sangria Ink using the Love Story Scrapbooking stamp set for some extra visual interest.

I hope you love this layout as much as I do- and now it';s your turn! Join us over at h2H challenges to share your Glitz and Glitter creations!

Seasonal Expressions 2 Blog Hop

Welcome to our Seasonal Expressions 2 Blog Hop!  We will be featuring products from the new Ideas Book.  If you have come here from Beth's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

This month we have over 40 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this the new goodies and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I created a frame for my 10 year old niece using the new Blossom Paper Pack. I have included a video on the whole process below.

Here is the finished frame, complete with the shimmer trim.

I love the way the Fundamentals paper pack adds some extra dimension to the BFF circle, and the pink, blue and green work so well together.

Side on, you can see the dimensional 3D foam tape adds an extra touch and makes the embellishments pop.

The stamped butterflies on the frame edge are a subtle touch, but I think they work well with the overall theme. I had so much fun making the 3D flower as well, I will be cutting out more of these in different colours!

I have included full dimensions and Cricut cuts below if you are interested, otherwise you can now "Hop" on over to Chris' Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #102

Another beautiful sketch this week at Atlantic Hearts, and I finally decided to use a butterfly on my card as well as some leftover scraps I had sitting in my stash.

I really love purple and orange together, so I combined these scraps with some embossed Kraft cardstock.

I also stamped the sentiment using the rock and roll technique to give a multicoloured technique to the words.

We would love to see your take on the sketch- link up here!

Choose Happy S1503: CTMH Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop

Hello and welcome aboard our Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from Tracey's Blog, you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s March Stamp of the Month, Choose Happy.

This stamp set can be purchased in March for $33, or just $5 when you place an order of $75! If you don't have a Close To My Heart Consultant you can shop with me.

Today I am sharing this card featuring the spotlighting technique- something I haven't tried before but was keen to do.

I started off by inking up a background stamp in Chocolate, and then I also stamped it in Hollyhock. I used the woodgrain frame from the SOTM to frame a piece of the pink image, and adhered it on top of the brown floral stamped image. I also triple stamped a sentiment from the SOTM on top of the pink raised piece.

Some gold shimmer trim and a gold butterfly puffy tied the card together, and I matted the floral stamped background with some Heartstrings paper.

I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop, Creative Inspirations.

NOvember- No Rules!

Anything goes for this last challenge of NOvember with Heart2Heart Challenges!

I decided to break a few rules for this card.

I used a Picture My Life Card and items from the My Crush collection to create a card- I try not to peg my embellishments and scrapbooking items into one group. PML isn't just for pocket pages, and the My Crush Assortment isn't just for the smaller books.

I also broke another one of my rules and used a coloured card base instead of white.

The final result is a colourful, textured card using some scraps and items that would usually sit in my albums.

How will you break the rules this week?

CTMH supplies used:
Cardstock: Colonial White, Crystal Blue, Smoothie
Embellishments: Flamingo Dots, My Crush Besties Assortment
Embossing Folder: Dot
Picture My Life: Avonlea

CASology- Flutter

This week, the CASology challenge was Flutter, and I knew I wanted to do a pretty butterfly card. I am not usually into butterflies, but this was the perfect chance to make something girly!

I only used three colours and three layers, in keeping with the CASology rule of three, but I am really pleased with how it turned out.

The butterfly was a glitter paper with a black cardstock overlay, and it looks so stunning in person.

I have a feeling I will be making more of these cards, glitter paper is my new obsession!

CTMH supplies used:
Cardstock: Black, White Daisy
Ink: Black
Paper: Pink Glitter Paper
Stamp set: Happy Birds
Tools: Bonding Memories Glue Pen, Cricut Artiste Cartridge, EZ Dots Adhesive
