Giving with Gift Tags

Hello and welcome to our CTMH Featured Products Blog Hop. This week our featured product is Gift Tags.

If you have just joined us you can start here and continue on, as this is a circular hop or if you get lost along the way you can find the complete list at the end of this post.   If you came here from Annette you are in the right place. Now on to my project:

I love the Cut Above 'Tis The Season Tag Kit, this makes it so easy to create beautiful gift tags!

The kit comes with everything you need, just take your favourite adhesive and a Christmas sentiment stamp to finish them off.

I used the Mini Stamp sets A Little JingleMerry & Bright and Mini Christmas for the sentiments and stamped them in Chocolate Ink on the white tag frames.

I matted the sentiments on the gold glitter strips then added them to the polka dot tag bases.

Here is one of the finished tags on a gift- I added some of the Black Shimmer Ribbon around the present for something extra!

Thank you for checking out my project. If you would like to purchase our featured product of the week or any additional supplies you can buy them here as this tag kit is only available until the end of December.

If you enjoyed my project please comment below as we love feedback! Next on our blog hop is Janna from Reflection of Me. Make sure to check out her amazing work featuring this same product.

M is for Monogram

Monograms are everywhere lately, and make a perfect personalised gift! Monogram is also the them of this week's Heart 2 Heart Challenge.

I recently celebrated my wedding anniversary, and I wanted to make my husband a gift that was personal to us.

I designed a layered Monogram on my Cricut, using a combination of leaves, flowers and purchased designs. I then added some writing with the black Cricut pen on top of the White Daisy cardstock layer.

I then cut the same design in black cardstock to layer in the negative white cut.

I used my Two-Way Glue Pen to add the black pieces in the gaps left from the white piece, which was matted onto another piece of white cardstock.

The finished monogram was then cut down to 6x4 to fit the photo frame.

Here is the finished frame, with the monogram design in the middle and black and white photos of us on either side.

Reindeer Bells Bags, Tags and Cards

The final challenge of the year at Heart 2 Heart Challenges is Gifts from the Heart.

I think that gifts are always better with a fancy gift wrap and matching card, so I set about creating a cute set of gift tags, bags and cards for my last minute everyday gifts this year.

I used the retired Seasons Tweetings gift bags, and then created some matching tags and cards using what I had on hand.

Each tag has a different motif, and I also embellished some of them using the Gold Sequins and Red Enamel Gems, with a few items also cut from the Cricut.

Finally, I made these quick matching cards to go with each bag- three of each design. I used the inners of the sunburst borders for each card- use every little bit!

I am so pleased with how these turned out, just waiting to be filled with chocolates or any other little treat.

December Worldwide SOTM Blog Hop

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  We will be featuring December's SOTM, which is Candlelight Garden, a set of 10 stamps.

If you have come here from Michelle's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

This month we have 30 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I wanted to make some Candy Cane Scrub to give as a Secret Santa gift, and wanted to do a cute packaging idea. Because the scrub is in a jar, I thought that having the mason jar stamp from the December SOTM would be cute as a tag.

I stamped the mason jar and heart with Ruby ink on Kraft cardtock, then fussy cut. I punched a small hole in it and attached it to the jar with the Fern Thick Twine, as well as adding an actual candy cane for the finishing touch.

I created the label with my Cricut- I cut out two different sized circles and welded the font (from Artistry) to the inner circle so that it would cut out.

I really love how this homemade gift has turned out, and it is a perfect and easy gift for neighbours, teachers and friends.

Now "Hop" on over to Alyson's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the December SOTM is only available until 31st December!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount!

White Pines Wednesday 4

The last Wednesday of November is here, and so it is time for my final White Pines Wednesday feature!

I don't do a huge amount of Christmas decorating as my son's birthday is a week before Christmas and I tend to have his birthday decorations up, then take them down and decorate after his celebrations. However, I love little things to sit on mantels, shelves and cabinets, and so I set about making some cute little present boxes using the White Pines Paper Packet.

This stack of presents was made using the Artiste cartridge and cutting the standard boxes at &, 8 and 9 inches. I used one side of each paper for the bottom, and the other side for the lid.

I tied the boxes together using some of the Fern Thick Twine, and added a bow from the Glacier Fundamental Assortment on top as a finishing touch.

Now I have a cute stack of presents sitting on my shelf!

These might end up being a gift for a few people too, as they are super cute and easy to make.

I hope you have enjoyed my White Pines Wednesday series- you can catch up on previous posts here.

Thankful for Teachers

The theme this week for Give Thanks at Heart 2 Heart Challenges got me thinking. We do not celebrate Thanksgiving here in New Zealand but I am definitely thankful for a lot of people in my life.

My son has had an amazing first year at school, and since I have been away for the last few weeks having surgery his teacher has been great at keeping him settled and into a routine. I wanted to say thank you to his teacher as I am grateful for all of the things she has done this year.

I saw this cute idea on Tatertots and Jello and set about recreating my own version on the Cricut.

I cut the Popcorn Box from the Movie Night digital file using Colonial White and Cranberry cardstock. I made this box as big as I could for one sheet of paper. After I had assembled the box, I got my supplies together.

Some M&Ms and a movie theatre gift card fit perfectly inside this box!

I also cut a tag from the Cricut and used the Teacher Appreciation stamp set for the sentiment.

Lastly, using this word art as inspiration, I printed off a poem and attached it to a card backed with the retired Chalk It Up paper packet.

I hope my son's teacher likes this gift!

Thanks a Latte Teacher Gift

My 5 year old has had a great term at school with his new teacher- she has really challenged him and he has come out of his shell a lot!

I wanted to say thank you using a small gift, but I wasn't sure what until we were talking the other day about coffee and I mentioned some latte flavours. She said she would have to go to the supermarket to try them, but I thought I would give her a selection as a thank you.

With that in mind, I set about creating a box to fit the sachets in. There is a combination of normal latte, Coconut Rough latte and Irish Cream lattes. I also added a punny sentiment and a pretty paper background. A small, inexpensive and practical gift for any teacher!

Life is a Picnic!

This month at Heart 2 Heart Challenges, the theme is "Life Is...".

The first of these prompts is Life is a Picnic!

I always remember picnics on our way down south, a welcome respite as we all piled out of the car and found a grassy patch to eat. We would then always stop at a dairy and get an iceblock each, so I always think of picnics whenever I have an iceblock.

I found some adorable iceblock pens the other day and wanted to give them as gifts. I used the colours of the pens as inspiration for my colouring.

Here is the combination of colours I used to get the perfect iceblock.

Next, I made a small bag topper out of White Daisy cardstock and added a stamped sun and sentiment from the Hello Summer stamp set.

They went on top of my bagged up pens, and then they were finished.
