Artfully Sent Sympathy Card

Sympathy cards are always the hardest for me to put together- that is why I am grateful that my Artfully Sent cricut cartridge has a few options.

I am playing along with Just Add Ink's Just Add Sympathy prompt this week, as well as Bitten By The Bug 2's Butterflies or Bees challenge.

I started by cutting the card in a soft Champagne cardstock, which I thought worked well for a sympathy card. I then added some soft blues and greens behind the negative images.

The butterfly was cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge, and I stamped over ti with a border stamp set for extra interest. I also stamped an extra line under the cut sentiment, as I thought it needed something else.

This card was a quick and easy one of mine to put together as I have been feeling under the weather this week, but I am glad that I still made time to create.

Thanks for stopping by today!

St Patrick's Day Cupcake Wrappers

One of the things I love about having my Cricut is how easy it is to add somee flair to any holiday.

Our family is not even Irish, but when my six year old wanted to make some special cupcakes for his teachers for St Patrick's Day I knew I could add something extra with some green shamrock cupcake wrappers.

I used the Seasonal Soirees cartridge for these adorable cupcake wrappers- one of my favourite holiday cartridges for table decorations and gift giving,

The cupcakes looked great on the 3 tier stand. They are chocolate cupcakes with rainbow icing, and they even have some gold inside!

Biting in to the cupcakes reveals the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

The teachers and my kids all enjoyed these yummy cupcakes, and the wrappers were the perfect green touch!

Santa Photo Pocket Page

I am having so much fun with my December Daily album this year, although I am a bit behind as I have been busy enjoying the beuatiful weather! However, today it is raining so it was the perfect time to catch up on my album pages.

I also thought this particular page would go great with Bitten By The Bug 2's challenge of a Santa themed project made with the Cricut.

Here is the complete pocket page with our 2015 Santa photo. It was a bit of a mission to get the photo as I was taken to hospital with a tear in my leg muscle, but we got there in the end!

Here is a close up of the Santa from the Winter Frolic cartridge. The "All I Want For Christmas" sentiment is also from the Winter Frolic cartridge, and the camera and "smile" are from Artfully Sent.

One page down, 24 to go! I will be sharing more photos of my completed layouts in the coming weeks, as well as a video flip through of my December Daily when it is complete.

Christmas Lights Layout

I love driving around to look at Christmas lights, and unbeknownst to my husband I have planned that as our date night this week! I already had a layout in mind when I saw this week's Christmas Ornament challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2. I decided to incorporate some ornaments on my layout, which will soon be full of Christmas Lights photos.

I cut the ornaments from the Art Philisophy cartridge, and the light string is from the Artistry cartridge. Some stamped journalling lines and a sticker title were all I needed to complete this layout, and the white squares will act as photo mats.

On closer reading, it seems the challenge did not include layouts, but I hope I am still allowed to share this anyway!

Thanks a Latte Teacher Gift

My 5 year old has had a great term at school with his new teacher- she has really challenged him and he has come out of his shell a lot!

I wanted to say thank you using a small gift, but I wasn't sure what until we were talking the other day about coffee and I mentioned some latte flavours. She said she would have to go to the supermarket to try them, but I thought I would give her a selection as a thank you.

With that in mind, I set about creating a box to fit the sachets in. There is a combination of normal latte, Coconut Rough latte and Irish Cream lattes. I also added a punny sentiment and a pretty paper background. A small, inexpensive and practical gift for any teacher!

Butterfly Friendship Card

This week I am entering my first challenge at Bitten By The Bug with the theme of Celebrate Friendship, as well as playing along with the Color Dare over at Color My Heart.

I used a leftover card base from a Cut Above Card Kit to create this friendship card.

I love the big bold sentiment cut from the Cricut, and so left embellishments simple with two fussy cut flowers and a pretty pink butterfly.

Thanks for stopping by!
