Pocket Power Technique Blog Hop

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!  This month there are 9 of us showcasing pockets in our projects- this could be flip flaps, pocket pages or even journalling pockets.

This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.

If you are coming from Miss Carrie's Creations you are on the right track!

The thing I love about the Pocket Pages is their ability to mix and match with traditional 12x12 page layouts. The new Into The Wild Deluxe Scrapbooking Kit  comes with a mix of these, as well as full instructions on creating your own double page layouts with both 12x12 and pocket pages.

Here is the full double page layout, which I will be using for photos of my son's school camp.

Here's a closer look at the Pocket Page- I love the mix of photo sizes as well as the layout ideas so that you don't have to guess where your photos should go!

You can fit a lot of detail into each pocket- here I've used a combination of patterned paper, fussy cutting, Cricut shapes and stamping in order to add some extra touches and tell the story behind the photos.

A lot of the Deluxe workshops now come with a combination of 12x12 and Pocket Page projects, which I highly recommend if you are new to scrapbooking or just have a lot of photos to get through. The pocket pages make layouts quick and easy, and also use a minimum of paper and cardstock and you can really make your embellishments and journalling stand out.

Now HOP on over to see what Tamara has created!

  4. This is a fun layout. I forget that "mini layouts" can go in pocket pages.
