Welcome to our Christmas in July Blog Hop!  We will be featuring a whole lot of fun Christmas themed items that CTMH has available.

If you have come here from Darlys' Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog

This month we have 14 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I always need Christmas cards, and they are sent all around the globe, so I decided to embrace the wintery feel since it has been rather cold here in New Zealand!

To prepare the base of my Christmas card, I cut a snowflake stencil using my Cricut and the City Sidewalks Cartridge, and sponged over it using Glacier ink and a Sponge Dauber. This created a lovely, soft snow background for my card and the stencil can be used again!

I then cut some houses out of the same City Sidewalks Collection using Pewter, Blue Belle, Flamingo and Sapphire cardstock and layered them together. I placed these on my stenciled card base and framed in more Blue Belle cardstock.

I added some Diamond Stickles to the base of the houses to make it look like snow, and lastly stamped the sentiment in Sapphire Ink from the Merry,Merry stamp set.

Now "Hop" on over to Maureen's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #188

Christmas card making is in full swing, and I have been using a lot of my scraps to get the most out of my paper packets!

This week's sketch at AHSC is perfect for all those little pieces left over that I just can't seem to throw out.

This Christmas card was made using City Sidewalks paper with coordinating Willow cardstock, which I embossed using the Diamond Embossing Folder. I used the large sentiment as my second square, which I stamped in Willow ink and embellished with sequins.

Now all I need to do is repeat this design using other scraps of patterned paper and this sentiment stamped in a coordinating ink colour to create a stash of Christmas cards!

City Sidewalks meets My Crush

Close To My Heart has both a Cricut cartridge and a Collection called City Sidewalks, which I have mashed together today in a double page spread for my December Daily album.

City Sidewalks is also the theme over at Heart 2 Heart Challenges this week!

Here is the double page layout using the Happy, Happy Christmas My Crush pages as the base for my December Daily album.

I cut out the Merry Christmas title using the City Sidewalks Cricut cartridge in Ruby cardstock. The Speedy Santa sticker is from the City Sidewalks Complements.

The Santas across the left hand page are a Zip Strip from the City Sidewalks Paper Packet, and the glittery accents are from the matching Complements.

Now all I have to do is add some photos and journalling to this page!

Are you doing a December Daily album this year?

Pink and Blue Presents

I love using traditional colours on my Christmas cards, but this week's Merry Monday challenge was a colour combo of light blue, dark blue and pink. Paired with the Between The Folds challenge of Glitter and Bling, I set to work to create a Christmas card out of my comfort zone!

I started off by placing this cute word paper as the background of my card, and I then layered up some Sapphire card, Aqua Shimmer Trim, Flamingo Dots and a sticker towards the bottom of the card. The sentiment was stamped onto the frame sticker using a retired Christmas set and Sapphire ink.

To create the presents, I ran some of the Sapphire card through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder, then cut three squares. these were topped off with some Pink Twine and a Navy satin bow.

I quite like the end result- what do you think?

X is for Xmas

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter X. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their X element will be featured in their post.

If you came from Jenifer then you're on the right track!

I had to take the easy option here and use Xmas as my prompt. I discovered a Santa photo from 2014 that I hadn't scrapbooked so I thought it would be a perfect time to showcase the new City Sidewalks Paper Packet as well as the Christmas Thin Cuts.

Here is the layout I created using the fun striped paper as my background. I also used some of the Willow Cardstock and cut up a page from the My Crush Happy, Happy Christmas as the background for the photo.

The Christmas thin cut is perfect for Santa photos or any Christmas themed pages! I added the photo part of the title using some alpha stickers from last year's Christmas pack, and the Kraft tree is from the retired White Pines Complements.

I used one of the City Sidewalks PML cards to mat my journal box, on which I stamped lines and this cute Ho Ho Ho sentiment from the Reindeer Bells stamp set.

Here is the layout complete with photo- my boys were so little!

I am linking this layout up with this week's BTF challenge to use City Sidewalks.

Hello and welcome aboard our City Sidewalks Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from Shaunna then you are in the right place.

If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s City Sidewalks collection- a colorful Christmas combination sure to get you in the festive mood!

I am combining today's card with the sketch at Atlantic Hearts.

I random stamped my own background using Willow and Peacock inks, which are two of the colours that feature in the City Sidewalks paper packet. I then added a large strip of the Cranberry paper, and then a smaller strip of the green and blue design.

I stamped the sentiment and frame in Peacock ink on White Daisy cardstock, and added some retired red sequins as the finishing touch.

I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop, Maz Wood: aMAZing Close To My Heart Creations.

This month we have over 15 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this digital Cricut cartridge and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I wanted to use this cartridge in a non-Christmas setting to show how versatile it is. One of my friends has recently moved into a brand new home, and so the house image was perfect for the front of a card. I also used a swirly frame from the cartridge on the card to add some extra interest.

The background paper is from the Rustic Home Fundamentals Paper Packet, and I cut the frame and house accents in the colour of the year, Sea Glass. Extra house details were added using Chocolate and White Daisy Cardstock. The sentiment is a sticker from the All Together Complements and I also added some Coral Reef Sequins.

Now "Hop" on over to Priscilla's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the City Sidewalks Cricut cartridge is only available until the 31st December!
