Hey Hot Stuff!

This week at Heart 2 Heart challenges, in honour of Earth Day, use something old with something new.

I saw the cute Salt and Pepper shakers in my new Eat Play Love Wood Shapes, as well as the salt and pepper shakers n the patterned paper, and I immediately knew I wanted to pair this with my old We Belong Together stamp set, which has a whole lot of cute food pairings.

I then thought how cute all of the patterned paper squares would be on a card from this sheet of paper in the new Eat Play Love collection.

Then I had a great idea to put them under our older Multi Square Windows Thin Cuts and my card was born!

I used the Hey Hot Stuff sticker from the Eat Play Love Sticker Sheet, and the sentiment was stamped with Candy Apple Ink using the We Belong Together stamp set. I also stamped the cute little ketchup and fries from the stamp set, and the rest of the icons are form the paper packet.

I added the wooden salt and pepper shakers, and my card was done!

Dazzling Dimension Technique Blog Hop

I knew how I wanted to add dimension to my project- Cricut cut flowers from the Flower Market collection! I cut out a few different flowers in Grape, Lemonade, Avocado, Flamingo and Nectarine cardstock. I also added some Gold Glitter Gems to the centres of the daffodils. 

I added all of these flowers to the mason jar stamp set from the Eat Play Love Cardmaking stamp set, and also added the sentiment from the April Stamp of the Month, Scandinavian Folk Art Greetings. I used the Mix In Paper Packet for the polka dot background, accented with a strip of checkered paper from the Daisy Meadows Paper Packet and matted on Flamingo Cardstock. 

I got even more layers added to my card by popping everything up on 3D Foam Tape- such a quick and easy way to add dimension!

Eat Play Love Australasian Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to our Eat Play Love Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s April Featured collection, Eat Play Love. 

I have created a double page layout that focuses on the floral aspect of this collection, as I love the dreamy, soft look of the floral paper. I used some of the bolder colours from the Eat Play Love Coordinating Cardstock as the background and photo mats, paired with strips of the Lemonade check and floral papers. 

On the right had side of the layout, I added a lot of the floral stickers from the Eat Play Love Sticker Sheet, as well as adding some stamped words and hearts from the April Stamp of the Month, Scandinavian Folk Art Greetings. 

I love how the Home stamp worked perfectly with the Gather Together sticker, and the heart sticker was further accented by a heart from the SOTM that I stamped in White Daisy ink. 

The left hand side had some more fun pennants with the paper, as well as a cute little teacup sticker!

I used the Eat Play Love Wood Shapes to add the teapot to the layout to match the teacup sticker, and also added some journalling strips as well as more stamped hearts and some extra stickers. 

This exclusive collection is only available until the end of April, and is a fabulous collection for nostalgic memories both in and out of the kitchen.
