Georgie Featured Paper Packet Blog Hop

Hello and welcome aboard our Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from Mez's Craft Room then you are in the right place.

If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a gift I created featuring Close To My Heart’s Georgie Paper Packet.

This page is of my newest nephew- I am expecting another niece or nephew soon and I cannot wait! I simply love new baby cuddles and so I wanted to do a stand out page for this adorable little face.

I used a Slate piece of cardstock as the backing, then added some Whisper cardstock, Georgie Paper Packet pieces and a gigantic sequined monogram.

The R was cut from the Cricut and then I covered it with two packets of sequins and some smaller epoxy dots.

I also added a Zip Strip to the bottom, and cut some clouds form my Cricut to add another layer to the page.

This layout is going into the Shadow Box as a present for display in his room.

This Georgie Paper Packet is beautiful for any baby, boy or masculine project- I have also used it for winter and playground photos!

I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop, Georgia Creates.

Georgie for my Gorgeous Boys

This week, Close To My Heart has asked us to create a page about why I scrapbook, preferably using the Georgie Paper Packet, with a chance to win an amazing prize pack.

I was very much inspired by their earlier post and so I recreated this layout using the yellows and blues from Georgie, Zoe and Kaleidoscope.

Here is a layout of my two gorgeous boys. I was told I would never have children, so every day I am in awe of these two little dynamos. I want to show them that I love the special moments between the two of them, and their brotherly bond is something I cherish.

Who can resist these smiles?

The journaling says "I love scrapbooking these special moments between the two of you. My miracle boys, you make me smile every day."

I thought this stamped sentiment was very appropriate for this layout- I stamped the whole sentiment with Canary ink then rolled the top two lines in Juniper ink to create this effect.

This layout will hopefully show my boys why I scrapbook- I love capturing their bond and it is something that we will all look back on and remember.

This layout is also for the Color Dare this week as the other paper packets have these colours in them too.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #158

I can't believe we are in to May already! I am loving this term with the Atlantic Hearts Design Team, and this week's sketch is fabulous as usual.

My sister had her baby shower in the weekend, and we had a neutral themed shower since she has not found out the gender. I used the Georgie Paper Packet to create each of the squares, and the B is for Baby stamp set for the middle piece. I added a Zip Strip down the bottom and accented it with one of the Gold Fundamental Assortment bows. The finishing touch was some Gold Sequins on each square.

I love the greens, greys and yellows for a gender neutral card! The bold sentiment really stands out on this card, which is exactly what I wanted, and I love the little bow on the zip strip. I hope my sister loved the card too.

If you are inspired by this week's sketch, we would love for you to link up with us.

E is for Elephants

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter E. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their E element will be featured in their post.

If you came from Catherine then you're on the right track!

My E is for Elephants- I created some cute items for a baby shower, where the theme was Elephants.
This is of the adorable animals featured on the Georgie Paper Packet and also one of the stamps from this month's SOTM, Balloon Animals, so it made my job a lot easier!

I created a card to celebrate the arrival using the Georgie Paper Packet and the SOTM. The sentiment and elephant were popped up on Foam tape and I added a banner cut from the Artfully Sent cartridge.

These scallops were cut and layered with the paper and a cute elephant to be used as cupcake toppers with toothpicks.

I also made some large rosettes for a centerpiece and the banner. I cut the rosettes from the Georgie paper packet using the elephant design and used another Cricut elephant on top with Slate, Canary and Honey cardstock.

Every party needs cupcakes, so these elephant cupcake wrappers with cut using Slate cardstock.

To make the banner, I cut large circles and layered them with different Georgie papers.

Here is the whole banner, complete with the elephant rosettes on each end.
