If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

This month we have 9 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this special and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I had so many ideas for this paper- of course Halloween is still coming up but I know I have at least two parties to go to! And I also love to dress up.

The first layout uses the Black background to make the p[atterned paper pop. I used the cute patterned paper against the more subtle orange, as I really loved the sticker sentiment banner and wanted to use that as my title.

I cut the spiderweb sticker in half to create an embellishment cluster on both sides of the layout, and added some white dots for extra embellishment.

It was so easy to create an embellishment cluster using the stickers in the kit as well as the adorable zip strips and the Black dots. How great is it that you get two colours of dots in the kit! The journal box sticker makes it easy to add the story behind the photos as well.

For the second layout I decided to showcase the papers on a white background instead- once again making use of the patterned paper (isn't it amazing!) and also utilizing the critters that come in the stamp set.

I used the stitched circle thin cuts to anchor each of the animals onto the cardstock, which made it so easy with the matching thin cuts. I was going to colour them in but then I decided I quite liked the black and white look to contrast with all of the patterned papers. I also added some of the sentiment stickers and that was all I needed to complete this second layout.

I'd love to know which layout is your favourite- black background or white background?

Just Treats September SOTM Blog Hop

Welcome to our September Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  We will be featuring September's SOTM, which is Just Treats, a set of 22 stamps.

If you have come here from Carrie's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

I love creating pillow boxes out of patterned paper, and the double sided paper from the Hello Pumpkin collection was perfect for these Halloween treats!

The great thing is that these can be vertical or horizontal, and the double sided paper means the boxes are already lined in a contrasting design.

I used the September SOTM to add the sentiment in Black Ink on Tangerine cardstock- a 2" circle fitted really well on the pillow boxes and made the most of this fun sentiment stamp.

Now "Hop" on over to Gina's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the September SOTM is only available until 30th September!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount!

It's Halloween Season!

No matter where you live, Halloween is a favourite for children- we celebrate in Spring so there are no pumpkins or falling leaves, but we always have spooky costumes and some fun Halloween events to attend.

This year, my two boys want to be vampires and they are heading to a Halloween event at my local club. The photos won't be available for a few days but I am prepared with a layout already.

I used the retired Halloween paper packet Jeepers Creepers, which has some fabulous bold colours ideal for scrapbooking my two boys.

I used a fun technique to create the monsters called the Baby Wipe technique, which resulted in adorable multicoloured monsters.

I will add some journalling to this 3x4 pocket card once the photos have been taken.

This layout came together so easily using the paper packet, zipstrip, coordinating pocket cards and a few stamped embellishments.

Happy Halloween everyone!

A Happy Heart

I have Halloween paper scraps everywhere today- and a lot of the purple patterned paper meant that I could play along with the Color Dare this week.

I put together some papers from retired paper packets using Eggplant and Thistle patterned paper, matted on Black cardstock. The White Daisy circle was stamped with the sentiment in Pansy ink and a black wreath. I also added a small strip of the Thistle Shimmer Trim.

I thought the pattern was a diamond print but on closer inspection it seems to be spiders! Oh well, I still think the finished card is cute and very purple.

More scrapbooking today for me as the weather is rather gloomy- school holidays start tomorrow so I will not have a lot of time in the next two weeks to play in my scrap area. That means that today is full of paper, Cricut cuts and lots of bling! I may even make a few more purple cards.

Jeepers Creepers Featured Product Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to our CTMH Featured Products Blog Hop. This week our featured product is the Jeepers Creepers Paper Packet.

If you have just joined us you can start here and continue on, as this is a circular hop or if you get lost along the way you can find the complete list at the end of this post.   If you came here from Annette you are in the right place. Now on to my project.

I decided to make a card featuring the Jeepers Creepers Paper Packet and the adorable matching Monstrous Halloween stamp set and thin cuts.

This card features the thin cut and stamped monsters stamped in Pansy, Lagoon and Willow. I added the Monster paper in the background and also added some circles cut from Willow cardstock to break up the pattern. The spiral border was a stamp from the Monstrous Halloween stamp set, and the sentiment is from the retired Lifting Spirits stamp set.

Thank you for checking out my card. If you would like to purchase our featured product of the week or any additional supplies you can buy them here.

If you enjoyed my projects please comment below as we love feedback!

Next on our blog hop is Corinna. Make sure to check out her amazing work featuring this same product.

Studio J- Boo Kit

Halloween is nearly upon us, and I just realised I still hadn't put the Halloween photos from 2013 in my son's album. Studio J to the rescue!

This layout is for the Heart 2 Heart Boo! Challenge, which fits perfectly since the kit I used is called Boo.

Even though a traditional American Halloween is not really celebrated here in New Zealand, I still made the day fun by starting off with a spooky breakfast. We then went to a Light Party, which is a local alternative to trick or treating. We finished off the day with some pumpkin quesadillas and spooky stories.

This layout came together so quickly, and I am really pleased with the black and orange as it goes really well with the photos. I love how quick and easy Studio J is!

If you have a Boo inspired project to share, you can join in here!
