Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s Month October special- Spooktacular.

Now I know that Halloween isn't huge in parts of Australia and New Zealand, but I still do a lot of dress up days and so do my children! They had a book character day and dressed up as Spiderman and Harry Potter so I have created this layout for their photos.

I added spider and magical accents, and the green striped paper made a perfect background for the photos.



I cut up the Happy banner to take out the Halloween part and added canvas letters that I coloured with black ink to make the title.

Spooktacular Consultant Blog Hop

Welcome to our Spooktacular Blog Hop!

We will be featuring the October special, Spooktacular. This set consists of gorgeous paper, cardstock, a sticker sheet, a stamp set and thin cuts. You can purchase this special as a bundle or each individual item separately.

This month we have 9 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this special and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I had so many ideas for this paper- of course Halloween is still coming up but I know I have at least two parties to go to! And I also love to dress up.

The first layout uses the Black background to make the p[atterned paper pop. I used the cute patterned paper against the more subtle orange, as I really loved the sticker sentiment banner and wanted to use that as my title.

I cut the spiderweb sticker in half to create an embellishment cluster on both sides of the layout, and added some white dots for extra embellishment.



It was so easy to create an embellishment cluster using the stickers in the kit as well as the adorable zip strips and the Black dots. How great is it that you get two colours of dots in the kit! The journal box sticker makes it easy to add the story behind the photos as well.



For the second layout I decided to showcase the papers on a white background instead- once again making use of the patterned paper (isn't it amazing!) and also utilizing the critters that come in the stamp set.



I used the stitched circle thin cuts to anchor each of the animals onto the cardstock, which made it so easy with the matching thin cuts. I was going to colour them in but then I decided I quite liked the black and white look to contrast with all of the patterned papers. I also added some of the sentiment stickers and that was all I needed to complete this second layout.
