Love Card for Color Dare #486

I have been able to do a bit of crafting over the weekend, thanks to the challenges and prompts I keep finding!

This week's Color Dare was quite specific, but one I could manage!

I started off with a Candy Apple card base, complimented by Lilac and Flamingo colours for my other colours.

I added Black and White as my neutrals, and finished off with some Purple Glitter Gems .

I hand stamped all the little xoxos onto the Candy Apple hexagon, and the 'love" is a a thin cut.

You will notice that this is a gatefold card too, so it will open up for a message to be written inside.

Thanks for stopping by today!

SWAK

It's the month of love!

I wanted to create a fun little tag card for Valentine's Day coming up, and so inspired by Craft Roulette I came up with this card using some leftover Valentine paper, my tag die cuts and some red enamel hearts.

I stamped some subtle background circles on the red cardstock, and used the xoxo paper to fit with the Heart 2 Heart theme this week.

I am slowly getting my mojo back, and challenge inspiration certainly helps.

Australasian SOTM Blog Hop- S2103 Winged Masterpiece

Hello and welcome aboard our Stamp of the Month Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from Maz then you are in the right place.

If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a card that features Close To My Heart’s March Stamp of the Month, Winged Masterpiece.

When you first look at this stamp set it doesn't seem very masculine, so I wanted to show you how to make this suitable to give to the man in your life.

I used the cute blue heart paper from the new March-April Mix In Paper Packet paired with some Glacier and Black cardstock, and the White Acrylic Hearts.

Now, I don't quite have a husband yet, as we are engaged, so I was cheeky and masked the "lucky to be your" sentiment to create the "husband to be" sentiment. You could also do this with the wife sentiment of course! I stamped an xoxo from the Perfect Match stamp set and then cut the sentiment banner on an angle just for some added interest as this card is quite simple.

This exclusive stamp set is only available during March. It can be yours for just $10 with a qualifying order of $88, or for $37.50  if ordered separately from your CTMH consultant.  If you are a VIP, you can even get this stamp set for free!

If you do not have a consultant please contact me or place an order here.

I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop, Doreen.

Australasian SOTM Blog Hop- Doodled Borders

Hello and welcome aboard our Stamp of the Month Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from Name Blog then you are in the right place.

If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s February Stamp of the Month, Doodled Borders.

I loved all the fun love themed stamped borders paired with our Perfect Match collection, and so I decided to make a quick card. I simply stamped a whole of the the fun borders across some White Daisy cardstock in Black ink, and then overlaid it with the Heart Shaker Window Thin Cuts, but I kept it open instead of creating a shaker.

You can see the dimension I achieved by layering the normal heart and then the stitched heart from the same Thin Cuts set over the stamped borders, and then placing the Candy Apple cardstock around it to really draw your eye in. I cut the same base heart shape from the Candy Apple cardstock, so the Heart Thin Cut was used both on the inner and outer part.

I finished the card off by adding one of the Perfect Match stickers, a bit of the Perfect Match zip strip, and some Desert Rose Glitter Paper

This exclusive stamp set is only available during February. It can be yours for just $10 with a qualifying order of $88, or for $37.50  if ordered separately from your CTMH consultant.  If you are a VIP, you can even get this stamp set for free!

If you do not have a consultant please contact me or place an order here.

I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop, Maz.

I have been having a lot of fun with Distress Oxide inks lately, and I knew that the Picked Raspberry and Abandoned Coral colours would be beautiful paired with this collection. I was inspired by Christine Meyer's distress oxide backgrounds and decided to create my own.

I started off my cutting a heart stencil on my Cricut, and then sponging over it onto White Daisy cardstock, using it as a mask. I used Picked Raspberry in the middle, and then blended out the edges with Abandoned Coral. Then I cut the White Daisy cardstock to 10 x 10 and placed it over the checkered paper from the Perfect Match collection.

I embellished this with both the sticker sheet and the matching stamp set in this collection.

I stitched around the heart to add a bit more interest but I love how the colours blended together to create the bold heart background.

Now "Hop" on over to Becca's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas!
