I had some photos I needed to scrapbook from our family holiday, and in particular from our trip to the Kelly Tarlton's Aquarium in Auckland, New Zealand. I had the Summer Vibes Cardmaking stamp set, which is on sale in our Stamptacular sale, and so I thought this would be perfect to use for some motivation to get those photos scrapped!

Here is the full look at my double page layout- but without a special addition that you will see at the end of my blog post.

Let's have a closer look at the left hand side with the focal circle point. This circle was cut from the Daisy Meadows Paper Packet- a spring and Easter themed but I have managed to make it sea themed!

I used the bubble stamp to create a border along the outer edges of each page using Glacier ink. I also used the stamp set to create the Just Keep Swimming Banner, and matted a journal card onto a bubble PML card from Summer Vibes. 

I then stamped lots of the cute little fishies in Peacock (first and second generation) and Glacier ink. I added a cute bubble border from the Summer Vibes Sticker Sheet to keep the theme going, and you can also spot some grey die cut shapes from the Seas The Day Diecuts.

Here is the right hand side of my layout- with a slightly smaller piece of the circle paterned paper background and some more of the fishes and bubbles from the Summer Vibes Cardmaking stamp set. 

Here are more of the cute die-cuts, and I really love the Together title under the photo of my two boys! I accented the die-cuts with White Pearls, as they always remind me of the sea.

Once I had done my two page layout, I realised I had all of the green screen souvenir photos from the day too! I simply added some more of the Summer Vibes PML Cards and the photos into the 6x12 Flip Flaps Memory Protectors. I love these fold outs for adding additional photos to a layout!

The PML card already had a pattern on it, but I stamped all over that with the bubbles stamp in Peacock ink, and added some more die-cuts and a strip of the Daisy Meadows paper to keep everything cohesive. 

Here is the finished layout, complete with the extra Flip Flap!

July/August New Product Blog Hop

I absolutely love the new Summer Vibes collection, and I have been trying to use it in unexpected ways. 

I steered away from the usual summer theme and created a layout of a trip to Auckland Zoo in New Zealand. The palm tree vibe and the colour scheme still matched our photos but these were taken during our Spring. I have used the new Summer Vibes Paper Packet and Sticker Sheet, as well as the Coordinating Cardstock to create the base layout.

One of the best things about trips is all the souvenir photos I get, but I always end up with so many! That's why I added a Flip Flap down the side of the left hand page, in order to get as many photos in at possible! You can see how it folds out to add more photos.

Let's take a closer look at the left hand side- isn't that palm frond paper just gorgeous? I also love how the cardstock matches perfectly.

I used more of our new product on the right hand side of the page- this one was slightly more decorative as the flip flap was the main feature on the other side.

I used the Summer Vibes sticker sheet to add a cluster beside the photo, and the journalling will be added onto this flamingo card from the Summer Vibes Picture My Life Cards.

As soon as I saw this little flamingo in the Summer Vibes Acrylic Shapes I knew exactly why I needed to create this layout! As you can see, I was wearing a flamingo dress at the zoo and I took a photo with the flamingos, so this little pink flamingo was the perfect embellishment.

Something Fierce Deluxe Scrapbooking Kit

Have you seen the new Deluxe options for the CTMH Workshops Your Way?

They give you some additional options for layouts with things like stamping, embossing and Flip Flaps, which are great for more experienced scrapbookers or those who want to play with new options.

I put together one of the layouts from this Deluxe kit using the suggested alphabet stamp set, celebrating my son's 9th birthday party. I love the blues and reds together, as well as the layering and funky triangle elements that were cut from the patterned paper.

Here is the front of the double page layout, with the Flip Flap overlay showing the photo of my son with his Fortnite photo booth props.



Then we turn the Flip Flap over, we have the 9th birthday feast on display as well as some more fun embellishments and another page using the Pocket Memory protectors.



Everything you need to create this layout, plus two more double page layouts and a single page layout, is included in this kit.

White Pines Wednesday 1

Christmas is coming, and the CTMH White Pines range is perfect for documenting those special seasonal moments. I like to plan ahead, and so today is the first of my White Pines Wednesday posts featuring ideas with this beautiful range.

I know I will have lots of photos from Christmas Day, and so I have already prepared a double page layout using the White Pines Paper Packet. This layout is Pattern Eleven from Make It From Your Heart Volume 2.



The Cranberry Fundamental Assortment have adorable wooden pieces that add a fun touch to the left hand side of the page, and I added some of the Red Enamel Gems as well. The Christmas tree was stamped using the White Pines Scrapbooking WOTG stamp set on Fern Cardstock with Fern Ink, and I cut this out from the Artistry cartridge. I added a star to the top of the tree from the Gold Fundamental Assortment.



I love the new White Pines Complements stickers and accents such as these presents and the ornament, which I have jazzed up using the Fern Thick Twine and Cranberry Fundamental Assortment.



The plastic accents in the White Pines Complements are a great flat addition to your pages, and the Dec 25 and floral sticker add interest to my journal box. I have also added a Glacier Fundamental Assortment wooden arrow to point towards one of the photo boxes.



The reason I have added the arrow is because I have made this particular photo into a waterfall series using Flip Flaps Small Assortment. This will be great for a series of photos such as opening presents, seeing my Dad dressed as Santa, or an unexpected moment. This could also be used for hidden photos or journalling if wished.

Seven Days with Sangria- Day 6

Welcome to the sixth post in my Seven Days with Sangria feature posts! Each day for seven days I am sharing a project created with the Sangria Paper Packet, Complements, Assortment or WOTG, or a mixture of these, as well as other wonderful CTMH Products.

Today's layouts are based on the talented Lisa Stenz' Huntington Flip Flap Kit. I purchased the instructions for this, and then adapted it using the new Sangria Paper Packet with matching Complements and Assortment.

Here are the three base layouts, which are mostly adapted from the MIFYH Volume 2 Ideas Book.



These all use the Sangria Paper Packet with matching cardstock, and I have added some additional Cricut cuts from the new Artistry cartridge.



The Sangria WOTG stamp set also helped to set the tone for the family theme, and I added the banner as a point of interest to the right hand page.



If you haven't used flip flaps before, they are an amazing tool that help to take your projects to the next level by providing interactive layouts and the capacity for more photos. These three layouts will now hold up to 35 photos thanks to the genius design!

Here is a short video demonstrating the layouts complete with flip flaps.

Once I add my photos and journalling, which I plan to do after our family reunion, this is going to be a wonderful addition to my family album.



The layouts are cut and inserted into the flip flaps to make two interactive pages with additional inserts for even more flip flaps.



The right hand page opens top and bottom, which adds an extra fun touch.



This six page double spread will be used for some family reunion photos, and I cannot wait to share the finished product with you. A huge thank you to Lisa for her guidance with this project, I thoroughly recommend her kits and instructions!
