Something Fierce Deluxe Scrapbooking Kit

Have you seen the new Deluxe options for the CTMH Workshops Your Way?

They give you some additional options for layouts with things like stamping, embossing and Flip Flaps, which are great for more experienced scrapbookers or those who want to play with new options.

I put together one of the layouts from this Deluxe kit using the suggested alphabet stamp set, celebrating my son's 9th birthday party. I love the blues and reds together, as well as the layering and funky triangle elements that were cut from the patterned paper.

Here is the front of the double page layout, with the Flip Flap overlay showing the photo of my son with his Fortnite photo booth props.

Then we turn the Flip Flap over, we have the 9th birthday feast on display as well as some more fun embellishments and another page using the Pocket Memory protectors.

Everything you need to create this layout, plus two more double page layouts and a single page layout, is included in this kit.

I'm linking this layout up with the Super Friends Scrap Our Stash Challenge, as well as the Use Your Stuff Numbers challenge for the 9th birthday layout.

A Hedgehog Hello

I've rediscovered my love for embossing powders this week, and it's been awesome to have some time in my craft room to play with all the pretty new paper packets!

This cute little hedgehog sticker caught my eye and I wanted to use him on a card. I also wanted to try out my new leaf frame stamp set so this card came together in my head really easily.

I used gold embossing powder to do the leaf frame, and then kept it really simple with just the hedgehog as the sentiment and some more of the patterned paper in a dovetailed strip. The only embellishment was some green triangles that I added for dimension.

I'm linking this card up with a few themed challenges today:
Use Your Stuff Forest Frolic
Craft Rocket Autumn
The Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe challenge (leaves, patterned paper, green, embossing and glitter)

Products used
Cardstock: White Daisy
Paper: Grateful Heart
Ink: VersaMark
Embellishments: Grateful Heart Complements, Enamel & Glitter Duos Green Triangles, Princess Gold Embossing Powder
Stamp set: Grateful Heart-Scrapbooking

You've Got Class!

It's back to school in America but New Zealand has been well into the swing of things for a while! I've just gotten the school photos back and I had to do layouts for my two adorable boys.

I used the You've Got Class Paper Packet and the School Kids stamp set to create a 12x12 layout.

I matted the photo with the notebook paper and added some of the other papers as a banner strip across the bottom of the photo. And look at that cute little boy stamp! My eight year old asked me to use this particular stamp- he's so helpful when I'm crafting.

I love the ruler stamp from the School Kids set so I used the Goldrush cardstock and then fussy cut to add an extra layer behind the photo. I also stamped the year onto Goldrush cardstock.

Each of my boys has their own school album so I did exactly the same layout for each photo- this is a quick and easy way to create multiple pages with the same kit and the same style of photo.

I'm linking these layouts up with the Double Trouble School Days theme and the Use Your Stuff School Is In challenge.

Floss like a Boss

Has anyone else got Fortnite obsessed children in their household? My two boys don't really play the game but they have all the dance moves down pat, including The Floss. I had my friend make some t-shirts for them featuring this trend, and they both wanted to wear them everywhere.

I have so many old papers lying around that I really have to use them up, and I magically pulled out three CTMH cardstocks that matched perfectly with the cog paper and so a layout was born!

I was particularly thrilled to see this Like A Boss speech bubble embellishment, and I stamped the word FLOSS using Pear ink and an old CTMH alphabet stamp set.

I was inspired by the Sketches in Thyme sketch as well as the Lots of Colour theme over at Use Your Stuff. I'm also sharing this with the cuteness overload theme over at Heart 2 Heart challenges.

Have you scrapbooked anything gaming related? I would love to see it!
