Count Your Blessings

Did you know that today is National Pink Day?

To celebrate, Heart 2 Heart is asking you to share something pink!

I pulled some pink elements from Brushed, Blue Skies and Stitched Together papers to create this layout. Don't be afraid to mix collections!

The gorgeous floral stickers are UV coated and from the Blue Skies collection, and the butterfly and banner are Cricut cuts from the Stitched Together Cricut collection.

This beautiful ombre bokeh paper was almost too pretty to use- but I challenged myself to use up some of the papers I have been hoarding and this was the result.

Please join in and share your pink projects with us at Heart 2 Heart challenges!

Stitched Together Australasian Blog Hop

Hello and welcome aboard our June Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from Doris then you are in the right place.

If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s June Featured collection, Stitched Together.

I wanted to make quite a generic layout using the papers, and this rainbow stripe just makes me so happy! I [paired it with some of the Mix In papers and also some of the Blue Skies stickers- this paper is actually so versatile!

This floral embellishment is actually a fussy cut flower from the Stitched Together PML cards,m and I added some pennants from the cards too. You don't have to keep the cards at their standard size- feel free to chop them up and use them as other embellishments too.

The flowers and hearts are cut from the matching Stitched Together Cricut collection- super handy when you only have cardstock or paper on hand but want to make matching embellishments!

This exclusive collection is only available during June. If you do not have a consultant please contact me or place an order here.

I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop, ScrappyChicks.

Tagged with Hugs

This week at Heart To Heart Challenges, the theme is tags!

Handily, the June Stamp of the Month is Garden Tags, and so I decided to use these tags on my project.

I was totally inspired by my wonderful team member Melissa's design, and so I decided to create a similar design but using bright, bold colours. I paired together the Stitched Together papers with some cardstock and added a coloured tag.

I used a small sentiment from the You Make Me Happy stamp set so as not to detract from thew bold floral design.

The finishing touch was some Peacock Stitched Ribbon to match with the Stitched Together theme of my card and I was done!

June Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Garden Tags

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  We will be featuring June's SOTM, which is Garden Tags, a set of 8 stamps.

If you have come here from Haley's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

This month we have 22 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

How many of you like to drink tea? I'm going to show you a fun idea for your used tea bags!

I have a full video tutorial here if you want to see me in action creating these cards. Basically, you completely dry out a tea bag, cut a slit in the back of the bag and shake out the tea leaves, and then you are able to stamp and colour on the tea bag like it is a piece of paper.

Here is the first teabag card I created using the dragonfly image from the Garden Tags stamp, the Mix In Paper Packet and the You Make Me Happy stamp set for the sentiment.

Here is a close up of what the stamped tea bag looks like. For this card I created a tone on tone look by stamping the dragonfly in Toffee ink and then colouring with the watercolour pencils, but leaving them dry as you don't want to get the teabag wet again.

For the second card, I did a brighter look by stamping the daisy tag in Sapphire then colouring in, and pairing with the bright colours of the Stitched Together Paper Packet.

You can see how well the teabag picks up the colours- either tone on tone or high contrast works well for this technique.

Here you can see the same card design with both muted and high contrast colour choices- I would love to know which one you like best!

Now "Hop" on over to Kathy's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the June SOTM is only available until 30th June!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount!

Stitches and Sentiments

Image may contain: text that says 'Challenge theme: Il Stitches Challenge end date: June 30, 2020 at 11:59 pm Heart2Hear Challenges heart2heartchallenges.blogsp blogspot.'

Welcome to another week of Heart 2 Heart challenges!

I had lots of fun the other week creating some backgrounds using the nail polish marbling technique (you can see my full video tutorial here) and I used one of the backgrounds paired with the Sentiments and Stitches stamp set.

Because the background was so busy, I simply matted the sentiment and also added a Stitched Together PML card, as well as some Acrylic Hearts and White Dots to cover up a smudge!

This stamp set comes with some adorable stitched lines to add that homemade, crafty feel to your card.

We would love to see your In Stitches projects too!

After the rain comes the Rainbow

It's time for another challenge over at Heart 2 Heart- and this week we want to see your rainbow themed projects!

On off the often forgotten things in our stamp range is the single M stamps- this sweet rainbow stamp is such a bargain at only $8NZ! I used it to create a bright and cheery card for a close friend who has been having a rough time recently. The papers from Stitched Together reminded me of rain and then a rainbow and so I used them for my card base, and made the rainbow stamp the focal point of this card.

After stamping in Intense Black ink, I coloured the image with the watercolour pencils and then  added some Clear Shimmer Brush over the sun. I popped it up on some Mint cardstock with 3D Foam Tape and finished with red gem embellishments.

We would love to see your rainbow themed products at Heart 2 Heart!

Mother's Day-Stitched Together

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there!

I love the tongue in cheek sentiments of the new Mother stamp set, Amazing Mother, and so I had to use one on my Mother's Day card!

I took inspiration from this sketch to create my Mother's Day card, as well as the Angel Mother challenge over at Heart 2 Heart..

I love the colour combination of this card- the pretty patterned papers in the Stitched Together collection made it easy to create a fun, floral look with the cheeky sentiment! I added some red gems and red shimmer trim from my stash, as well as fussy cutting a flower from the Stitched Together PML cards.

I'd love for you to join us over at H2H challenges this week to show us your Mother themed projects.
